A few years ago, luxury was a bag you waited for. Now it’s just as much time, sleep, and the feeling that you have your life under control.
You can see the shift everywhere: the “status purchases” have moved from the obvious stuff to the private stuff. Routines, recovery, skin, strength, longevity. Status symbols are changing; when luxury is for sale and everyone has them. Our notion of luxury changes, towards things that can't be bought. Things like good taste that has developed over time. Good quality passed down from generation to generation. And good health. Good health is definetly wealth.
